Wotian shares the difference between pressure difference sensors and pressure sensors!

From: Issued date 2020.02.19 Back

Today, the editor of Wotian mainly shared with you the comparison of differential pressure sensors and pressure sensors:

A differential pressure sensor is a sensor that measures the difference between two pressures, and is typically used to measure the pressure difference between the front and back ends of a device or component.

The housing is made of aluminum alloy and stainless steel. Two pressure ports are M10 thread and cock, Ф6 tower head structure. Widely used in textile workshop, boiler air supply, underground ventilation and other power, coal, spinning cotton box, dust removal equipment, industrial pressure process control.

The working principle of the differential pressure sensor is that the measured pressure directly acts on the diaphragm of the sensor, causing the diaphragm to generate a micro-displacement proportional to the water pressure, the capacitance of the sensor changes, and the change is detected through the electronic circuit, and the output is corresponding The standard measurement signal for pressure.

Second, the introduction of pressure sensors

Wotian shares the difference between pressure difference sensors and pressure sensors!

A pressure sensor is a device or device capable of sensing a pressure signal according to a specific rule and converting the pressure signal into a usable output electrical signal.

A pressure sensor usually consists of a pressure-sensitive element and a signal processing unit. According to different test pressure types, pressure sensors can be divided into gauge pressure sensors, differential pressure sensors and absolute pressure sensors.

Working principle of pressure sensor:

The sensors capable of measuring pressure can be collectively referred to as pressure sensors.

Generally speaking, the pressure sensor we are talking about is a sensor that cannot measure the pressure difference, and can only measure the pressure of one pressure.

The pressure sensor has a measuring point at one end and atmospheric pressure or a sealed vacuum pressure at one end. It can only measure a certain pressure relative to atmospheric pressure or vacuum, and it cannot measure the pressure difference between two different pressures.

Difference between pressure sensor and pressure sensor

These two concepts must be clarified. Piezoresistive sensors refer to the piezoresistive working principle used in pressure sensors. The sensor is installed according to a certain design structure or regulations. The change of the phase difference before and after the pressure is converted into the change of the pressure-sensitive element built in the sensor, and then the output is deformed. The pressure-sensitive element generates a weak signal for processing modulation or further operates through analog-to-digital conversion and chip Process and output analog or digital signals.

The working principle of the capacitive differential pressure transmitter (differential pressure sensor): The two pressures of the medium to be measured in the pressure transmitter are introduced into the high-pressure cavity and the low-pressure cavity, and act on both sides of the δ component (that is, the sensitive part). On the isolation diaphragm, the spacers and filling fluid in the element are transported to both sides of the measurement diaphragm.

The main differences are: differential pressure sensor, which measures the difference between two points (absolute pressure); pressure sensor, the pressure value at the side point (gauge pressure).

This is a conceptual issue. A differential pressure sensor is an expression of a pressure sensor.

The differential pressure sensor and the pressure sensor both refer to the magnitude of the output signal of the differential pressure across the measured object. According to different measurement reference points, it can be divided into three types: gauge pressure, differential pressure and absolute pressure. The differential pressure sensor is a pressure sensor.

1. Different measurement parameters: The differential pressure sensor measures the relative pressure, that is, the pressure difference between the two parts. The pressure sensor measures absolute pressure.

2. Different interfaces: The differential pressure sensor has two input nozzles for connecting two measurement points; the pressure sensor has only one connection nozzle.

3. Differential pressure: the difference between two measured pressures acting on both sides of the sensor. Any measurement requires a comparison of pressure flow detection on the two pressure pilot ports of the sensor.
